Existing Method R software licensees with active MR Trace and MR Tools software maintenance contracts receive a 50% course fee discount instead of redundant software licenses.

Software Licenses

Each limited software license included with the one-day course is a single per-userid license, with no software maintenance contract. A per-userid license entitles one specific person to run a software tool using a single login user id on a single machine (either real or virtual). MR Trace runs anywhere Oracle SQL Developer runs. MR Tools runs on Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX, and Microsoft Windows.

Optional Software License Upgrades

You may add a software maintenance contract to your limited license for a us$150 fee. A software maintenance contract entitles you to download software upgrades for 11 months from the date of the course.

You may upgrade your limited license to a single per-person license for a us$700 fee. A per-person license entitles one specific person to use the software on any account, on any system, anywhere. The per-person license upgrade includes an 11-month software maintenance contract.

You may add a Method R Profiler 1-userid/2-instance license, including an 11-month software maintenance contract, for a us$2,000 fee (regular price is us$2,500).

You may upgrade your license at these prices for up to 1 month after the date of your course. Course discounts do not apply to optional software license upgrades.

Hours for the Course

The one-day course meets from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Lunch is on your own. Dress is informal. If you need reading glasses for close-up work, please bring them.

Cancellations

Payment is required in advance but it is refundable, less a us$50 processing fee, if your cancellation is received at least three full business days before the course. If you fail to attend and do not notify us in advance, the fee is not refunded. Substitutes are welcome.

Private Courses

A private course taught at your facility ensures that your staff can be completely open with their classroom discussions. The course curriculum fits tightly into the scheduled format, but we can offer an additional day or more of instruction in which your staff can work directly with Cary Millsap on the subject matter in your company’s specific context. Our minimum student count for private courses varies by location and is generally proportional to the time and expense required to reach your facility from our office near the DFW Airport. Classroom Setup Requirements

The room setup requirements are simple: we need a quiet room with good lighting, comfortable classroom-style seating, and desktop space for each student. AC power for each student is nice, but not necessary. For the instructor, we need a digital projector (resolution ≥ 1024×768) and screen, AC power, desktop space, and a chair.
