mrskew DOS command 2 years 5 months ago #335

Hello Cary et all,
I am trying to start using MrSkew, so alreday a bit rusty as a gap of about 2 months since attending the course.

At present I can not login to my machine, so cannt share the screen shots etc, but here goes
I was trying to make the following command work on Dos prompt(page 95, first command in Mastering Oracle Trace Data book', It errored out on $p3 for me)
I need to find out which sqls/SQLids are causing the delay, in writing/reading.

mrskew a.trc --name=read --where='$p3 == 1' --group='$sqlid' --gl=SQLID

Thx
Bharati.

The MOTD book presents all examples with Unix style quoting. For DOS, the quoting is slightly different. The full explanation can be found in the documentation, just look for the heading OS Dependencies. The simple answer is, use double quotes instead of simple quotes.

Our Online Documentation, http://method-r.com/component/content/article/126#os_dependencies , also shows this, but may differ from your version if you have not upgraded to the latest revision.
